Wendel Clark was on hand as Remington Homes celebrated its 20th anniversary with the grand opening of the second phase of River Rock Ridge — a 128-home development — in Georgetown South.
New home buyers who attended the event got a chance to meet the former Toronto Maple Leafs great, get autographs and even a little coaching help for the Great River Rock Shootout. New home buyers were given a chance to shoot at targets in order to win upgrades like hardwood floors.
"Georgetown offers a simple and high quality of life, where you can raise your kids in a peaceful, safe and healthy environment," said Clark, who helped Edward Paiva of Streetsville secure a granite kitchen upgrade.
Edward Paiva, of Streetsville, took five shots for an upgrade while Clark kept an eye on his form. Paiva failed in his attempt to hit a prize upgrade so Clark shot for him and won a granite kitchen upgrade for Paiva and his wife.
More than 600 people attended the opening. New home buyers also received $10,000 gift cards from Lowe's.
River Rock Ridge offers laneway towns, traditional townhomes and fully-detached houses. The presentation centre is located on 10 Sideroad just east of Mountainview Road South.
