What to Do in Georgetown

When you move into River Rock Ridge, you'll be able to enjoy the majestic landscapes of Georgetown and surrounding area, which is blessed by the Credit River and the unrivaled Niagara Escarpment. Bruce Trail hikes are organized regularly in Georgetown or your family can explore the trail on its own in any season. Calm your mind sitting by sparkling Silver Creek, which winds gently across River Rock Ridge's northern perimeter, or get your heart racing at the Wildwood Manor Ranch. Learn about your surroundings at the Willow Park Ecology Centre in nearby Norval or Terra Cotta Conservation Areas.
 
Revisit the charm of yesteryear in downtown Georgetown. Family-run businesses are arrayed on tree-lined streets with heritage buildings in the town's historic core. You'll find a variety of shops and services including bookstores, gift shops, restaurants, pubs, spas, and coffee shops. Residents gather and get to know one another at the many events that happen in downtown Georgetown. The Georgetown Marketplace has your favourite shops, including Reitman's, Zellers, Laura Secord and Shopper's Drug Mart.

Release your inner child at River Rock Ridge. There's so much to do for all ages nearby. The Gellert Community Centre has swimming and other activities. There are numerous organized sports such as soccer and baseball, plus running clubs. Enjoy a variety of arts-based activities in Georgetown at the art gallery, the John Elliott Theatre or the numerous artists' studios in and around Halton Hills.
