Brampton Transit
The City of Brampton has an extensive system for public transportation with 238 conventional Brampton Transit buses and 25 Züm bus rapid transit buses, operating on 35 regular routes — 28 accessible routes — and moving more than one million riders each month.
Züm, an integrated rapid transit service along the city's east-west corridor, supports high-capacity routes. A Züm line from Downtown Brampton to York University launched in Fall 2010 with plans for a Main Street line from Sandwood Parkway to Mississauga City Centre planned for Fall 2011, and a Steeles Avenue route from Shoppers World to Humber College planned for Fall 2012.
